President Obama is already posturing for reelection and it isn't even 2012 yet. Of course, the potential candidates for the other parties are already posturing as well. What always seemed odd to me is how much money is spent on financing the campaigns compared to how much the United States President actually earns as a salary. That's not a question because I already know the answer. The only question I ask is whether you would vote to reelect President Obama considering his current track record. I wouldn't vote to re-elect Obama, and it has nothing to do with anything but his record, some of which I'll share here.
Let's look at some things that should and shouldn't have an impact:
The "birther" Fiasco
I don't believe the politicians in Congress and the other aspiring politicians (like Donald Trump) are as stupid as they act. Perhaps they think that the average American is too stupid to understand what constitutes being an American at birth. Whatever the reason, I'm glad they're not harping on where President Obama was born anymore.
According to the law, you're an American citizen if you were born on American soil (including one of its territories, like Guam or Puerto Rico) or one of your parents was an American citizen when you born. Since President Obama's mother was an American, it doesn't matter where he was born.
Social Security and other Federal Pensions
A very large portion of the United States population is in the age group of 65 years and older, according the US National Census. Another large portion is that group in the ages of 45 to 64. The combined number is about 120 million. These are the age groups that vote more than the other age groups, 18 to 24 and 25 to 44 (about 123 million).
For two years in a row, there was no cost of living adjustment (COLA) given for social security recipients and other federal pensioners. At the same time, there was COLA given to the active duty military. The reason for the lack of COLA given was that inflation didn't rise enough to justify it. If there was no inflation, then why did anyone in the government get a COLA?
Recently, during the tenuous negotiations in congress leading up to the raised federal debt ceiling, Obama publicly threatened that he couldn't guarantee that social security checks would be sent out this month. You may not call it a threat but when the social security trust fund is not tied to the federal debt in any way, what else can you call it?
Campaign Promises, Transparency and Bailouts
I can't list all the campaign promises the then presidential candidate made, because I didn't follow him in the news. One of the campaign promises was about change, but it has ended up as being more of the same. Some people would say it's a lot worse, what with the TSA and the invasive scanners approved by the head of the Department of Homeland Security being something quite noticeable in the news these days.
Obama promised transparency in government, but has somehow managed to have less transparency than his predecessor. So much so that his administration is trying to charge the head of Wikileaks with some law violation (which doesn't exist) for publicizing things they didn't want to be embarrassed by if known.
I can't list all the companies that were bailed out by the US government, but I can tell you right now that the automakers should have failed. The status quo in the automobile industry is why other countries are innovating with new automotive technology, which greatly reduces the need for fossil fuels, while we get newer models of the same old gas guzzlers. Inefficient and unprofitable corporations are supposed to fail, regardless of what you think about the potential job losses.
Predictions
Is it too early? I don't think so and I'll tell you why. The federal budget will be worked on again during the last quarter of the year. It's then that we'll find out what's getting fixed and what isn't.
I predict that President Obama doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of being reelected, regardless of what he does. He may pull a big COLA out of thin air to try and appease the older folks, but it will be too little and too late. If he fails to approve a COLA again, his fate is sealed.
The older folks are the biggest voting population. What incentive do they have for voting for lower benefits? (In case you missed it, with the value of the US dollar constantly going down, the decrease in purchasing power makes the current benefits go down as well if no COLA is given).
If by some chance, President Obama does get reelected, that's one mighty tough snowball.

Apparently mister wright is on the left. I read that Penata and Hillary actually made the call to get Osama. The operation had been set up several times before with the president calling it off. The time they got Osama, Obama was not notified until it was too late to call it off. However in claming credit for the take out of Osama, Obama was able to have his groopies leak the name of the seal team that got Osama therby endaranging the lives of our men, No I would not vote for Obama but if I get the chance I will vote for Herman Cain, He is the most intelligent man running and he has a hell of a lot of common sense. Don’t believe me? Check out his Bio.
There is an inherent problem in the USA with the political system. Far too much time is spent on campaigning and the election process compared to the length of the term in office. This always influences the strategic planning of the incumbent President. In these difficult economic times, the single most important thing that a leader must succeed in doing is to inspire confidence.
