Whenever someone builds a brand new website, he or she usually needs a leg up in order to get the traffic ball rolling. Before I tell you an easy way to get just a wee bit of help from me, I want to point out something about the "leg up" American idiom.
It's time for a reality check. You can make money online with a blog, but you're probably not going to make a whole lot of money with ONE BLOG. Of course, your definition of "a whole lot" may be different than mine.
Online referrals from other websites and search engines are the usual ways of getting website traffic. Getting website traffic from offline sources is also possible if you associate with the people who control those sources.
As many of you have probably noticed, I've been writing practically nonstop (except for unusual circumstances) for well over a year. The problem I'm having with it now is that I can't expand into other areas if I spend all my time writing for this one blog. I can't even keep up with my other blogs. There's just too much real world stuff going on.
I'm attempting to write articles in advance. I'm working towards having 7 or more articles in the queue at all times so that I can budget my time more wisely. Back in January, I wrote that the road to success is paved with stones of failure and put forth my intended goals.
I have yet to reach any of my goals and I don't believe reaching them will happen any time soon.
