I never thought I would hear my wife say that she actually wants to have surgery to remove her myoma (fibroid tumor), but that's exactly what she told me. Even after I explained that she would either have a myomectomy to remove only the tumor (not likely) or a hysterectomy to remove much more (likely), she still wants the surgery. I don't want her to have surgery because I know the tumor will shrink or disappear soon after she's finished going through menopause. The bad part about all this is that her desire for surgery is all my fault.
