For those of you who still believe there's a Santa Claus, you're in the wrong place. Adults know that he's a fictional character, but we still find it amusing to support the fantasy for the children. After all, it's the spirit of giving that counts and the character epitomizes that spirit. Now, knowing that there is no Santa, it's up to you to get those all-important Christmas gifts for the people you love.

Paranormal.
I've been having problems with writing here as of late due to being overwhelmed by lucid dreams. After I published my article on an uninvited guest, I started having lucid dreams on a regular basis. After ignoring them and writing about shadow people in the Philippines, I started getting repeats of previous dreams. It was then that I started to keep extensive notes on what the dreams were about.
These dreams have been bothering me so much that I've been sleeping less and less. I try to stay awake as long as possible, hoping that even if I do dream, I won't remember the dream when I wake up. It hasn't worked so far. The dreams are long and vivid, even if I only sleep for a couple of hours.

My son persuaded me to watch The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising with him. It was a load of crap, in my humble opinion.
Will Stanton, on his 14th birthday, finds out he is "the seeker" and has to collect 6 signs before "the rider" unleashes darkness on the world.
What the movie failed to explain, until near the end, is why Will was the seeker in the first place and why things didn't start happening until he was 14.
Judging by the reviews at IMDB and comparing the movie with the plot of the book series started over 40 years ago, I think I'm correct in my opinion that this movie isn't worth the time to watch it.
The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising stars Alexander Ludwig, Christopher Eccleston and a bunch of other forgettable actors. Here's a trailer:

Shrek is the animated feature that set a new standard for CGI-driven animated movies. It won an Oscar in 2002 for "Best Animated Feature", as well as other awards and a whole slew of nominations.
In this film, Shrek gets invaded by fairly tale creatures after Lord Farquaad banishes them from the kingdom of Duloc. To fix the problem, Shrek sets out to rescue Princess Fiona from a fiery dragon so that she can wed Lord Farquaad. Along the way, he picks up an unwanted companion (Donkey). On the way back, he falls in love with Princess Fiona, who turns into an ogre herself during the night. The rest of the story is animation history.
Shrek stars the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, John Lithgow and many, many more. Here's the trailer:

Sliders started out as a great show on America's FOX network but after two or three seasons, it "jumped the shark" by introducing the stupid Kromag creatures. I recently received the DVDs for season one — I never saw the complete episodes from any of the seasons because I was in the military for the first three seasons and didn't have the SciFi channel when I got out. Yes, FOX gave it over to the SciFi channel for the last few of years of its existence.
I really couldn't see how the writers could completely screw up an original concept by introducing crap into the series, but they did it. Anyway, I hope to enjoy the first two or three seasons.
Sliders stars Jerry O'Connell, John Rhys-Davies, Sabrina Lloyd, Cleavant Derricks, Kari Wuhrer, Charlie O'Connell, and Robert Floyd. Here's the season two opening sequence:

I've seen a lot of movies with dragons in them and I like most of them. This one was great and a lot of fun. "George and the Dragon" is a delightful, comedic action adventure about a knight who unwittingly becomes involved in the rescue of a princess who was kidnapped by a dragon. His efforts are assisted and then hindered by a rival knight who has his eye on the kingdom. To say any more would give the entire story away, so I'll stop right there.
"George and the Dragon" stars James Purefoy, Piper Peraldo, Patrick Swayze and Michael Clarke Duncan. There's even a short appearance by Val Kilmer. I recommend it as a family feature. Here's a trailer:
