Setting up an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server

All of my domains have been hosted with Media Temple since November, 2008. The first server was a standard VPS with 1 GB of RAM. The web server was Apache – I didn't have a choice. In July of 2010, I switched to a "developer" VPS server with 2 GB of RAM – I had choices and I setup NginX as a reverse proxy in front of Apache. In May of 2011, while upgrading the operating system, I setup NginX by itself.
