Kids are, well, kids. Active critters who run, jump, and have seemingly unlimited energy to play. Even if they're having a lazy day, they need to be comfortable in their clothes around the clock. Wearing onesies and sweats might have worked in when they were toddlers, but they will eventually grow and need more durable fabrics to accommodate them in their increasingly high energy level activities. Children's Jeans with adjustable waistbands are the perfect way to ease them into wearing grown-up pants.
Your typical kids jeans are made from softer materials than adults and also with an extra layer of insulation lining the insides. This softens the contact between the skin and the jeans. Kids jeans are also made slightly roomier around the legs to give them more freedom in movement without scrunching or pinching against the legs. In addition, they are a no-hassle wash, and are generally made of 100% cotton, so they can mix with other similar fabrics. Their durability is also a huge plus, which means any of the typical rough-and-tumble they endure will likely have little effect on the quality.
Although kids jeans are mostly styled in a similar manner to their adult counterparts, kids jeans also come with adjustable waists that give them even more flexibility. It is also a way to bridge the gap between the kids jeans and jeans with zippers and buttons. They're like training wheels, if you will. This is ideal for when kids are going through their potty-training phase and need to wear pants that can easily slip on and off. Adjustable waistbands are also more comfortable and preferable to some kids, so it provides another option to how kids can wear their pants.
Other benefits to kids jeans with adjustable waistbands are the varieties of styles that they come in. A different waistband rarely changes the way the rest of the jeans look, which means all of your child's favorite colors and washes should be able to feature a flexible waist. Try carpenter jeans for the feature side pockets and a single button for easy wearing. They're also made of cotton materials that can be easily washed with the normal load, so you don't have to separate dirty clothing just for jeans.
The single greatest benefit, though, has to be the low cost. Designers understand that kids grow quickly and it's pointless to buy clothing that fits them exactly at that moment. Kids jeans are naturally designed to last a few years, and with the help of an adjustable waistband, it's even easier to save on kids jeans. Parents should consider purchasing jeans with this in mind to save in the long run of their child's wardrobe.

We have used the same adjustable waist jeans for our kids for years. They may look a little short on our oldest son, but they are so comfortable on him! Thanks for the post.
I love them too! Kids do tend to ditch them when they enter their "cool" phase, unfortunately

You are right, these jeans are very cost effective as well. You can get some at Walmart or Target for under $10 I believe.
Looking back on the "cool" phase, I think it'd be "cool" back then to have jeans that I could wear for years!

Macy's is great too.. especially if you're a cardholder as you frequently get $20 off $50 coupons. Combine that with sale or clearanced prices and jeans around $5 isn't all too uncommon.

Buying clothes for the kids is a nightmare. they grow out of clothes so quickly, I cant imagine how much it would cost if I had to pay normal adult prices for my kids jeans.
