For years doctors and other health professionals have pushed and pushed society to consume 6 to 8 glasses of water a day — it's a magical beverage, most claim. But while it's understandable why so many don't consume the recommended amount — one would need to drink about a glass of water every 30 minutes to follow doctors' orders — the task of keeping yourself hydrated won't seem so tedious when you learn all of its health benefits, including having healthy looking skin, a stronger immune system and a smaller waistline. Continue reading below to discover all the health benefits of water.
Stronger Immune System
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the more water you drink the more frequent trips one will end up going to the restroom — after all that fluid needs to be released somehow. But the simple act of urinating is what can in fact help you to build a strong immune system and stay healthy. This is because water works to flush out all of the toxins in your body that make you sick. In addition, water keeps you body at the necessary Ph balance. When you are not properly hydrated, your body will become more acidic — at this point your body will struggle absorbing nutrients and vitamins, components needed to help fight-off illnesses and diseases such as kidney stones, arthritis and the common cold.
Better-Looking Skin
While water helps flush out toxins that make you sick, it also helps flush out toxins that would otherwise make your skin look haggard. This is why non-water drinkers who live in large cities with higher concentrations of pollution are more likely to have rougher, wrinkly and acne-prone skin (the pollutants stay dormant in their bodies). Thus it's important to drink lots of water to get rid of these skin-damaging toxins. Water is also know to bring color to the face (reducing the need for makeup) and can also help fight off fluid retention which can result in severe under eye baggage and a bloated face.
Less Sweat
While sweating is unavoidable — it's the way our heated bodies are cooled down — water can in fact help regulate your body temperature so that you sweat less.
Hunger Suppressant
Lastly, water helps regulate your weight. Many are unaware that often times we mistake hunger for thirst. While you may think that you would be able to differentiate being hungry from thirsty (dry mouth vs. a growling tummy), our body can sometimes release the same symptoms for the two — yes a growling tummy and indicate thirst as well. So the next time you feel hungry and you are more than aware that you ate not too long ago, drink a glass of water instead and see if you are relieved of your hunger pangs. Drinking the proper amount of water can actually cut food cravings and prevent unnecessary snacking which can really help those struggling to lose weight. Aside from being a hunger suppressant, it is also a metabolism boosting agent and can encourage muscle tone.

You all must have heard about "wonder woman" right? But my mom was being known in my house as "water woman". I know it sounds funny but it is true because she has a lot of water regularly. Even if she travels anywhere she generally carries her bottle full of water with her. She says that she has read a lot about water and its significance. But we are still very bad as we don’t listen to her. My mom's personality is really very attractive. And I know now that it’s all because of water.
Water is the main component required by our body. 70% of our body consists of water. The most important work that water does on our body is that it helps us to keep our body temperature under control. Not only this it also helps us to shed the extra fats in our body because when we drink lots of water we tend to eat less and this is how we lose weight.
I heard that excess of water is also not good. May be I am wrong but I think excess of water will drain all the vitamins and essential nutrients out from your body. Excessive intake of water which contains chlorine may prove to be fatal as chlorine is a chemical and will not do good to you. Salt water has a lot of salt in it which can even kill you.
Women's body goes through a lot of pain. So it is obvious that women require more stamina to cope up with everything. Water contains a lot of energy. AGREE TOTALLY with the hunger suppressing.
Most of us when we feel hungry, we just want something to be swallowed. Instead of water, most people struggle and end up binging on a whole lot of food.
Since our body is asking for something to be swallowed, why let let it consume water, the all natural health food?
