Diarrhea and Hemorrhoids — Watch What You Eat

diarrhea You've probably seen or heard a television advertisement or two where they think words like "diarrhea" and "hemorrhoids" are going to disturb you, so they quickly get to the point to spare you as much disgust as possible. I, on the other hand, am here to disgust you as much as possible. During periods where you don't eat the same things you routinely do (like during the holidays), and eat in places you don't normally eat (like your cousin's house), then things like diarrhea and hemorrhoids are going to bother you.

Diarrhea

There's no avoiding it. At one time or another, you're going to get diarrhea. You can reduce your chances by staying away from extremely spicy foods, as well as keeping your hands clean. You'd be surprised at the number of bacteria in even the cleanest of places. It only takes one bacteria to cause you all kinds of discomfort.

Loose bowel movements are sometimes called diarrhea, even though diarrhea isn't the proper term. Eating foods that you don't normally eat can cause both loose bowel movements as well as constipation. It's an unfortunate part of life we have to deal with.

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids, on the other hand, can usually be avoided. I won't go into all the details, but my wife suffers from hemorrhoids, as a result of childbirth in 1985.

Childbirth is but one of the causes of hemorrhoids. Any kind of physical strain, including the strain of overcoming constipation, can cause hemorrhoids. What does diarrhea and hemorrhoids have in common, you might ask?

Diarrhea and Hemorrhoids

Diarrhea, as well as normal loose bowel movements, can cause hemorrhoidal tissue irritation and flare-ups. Anything that causes a strain on the anus or the rectum will contribute to hemorrhoid problems.

Hemorrhoid sufferers should avoid anything that will constipate them or loosen them up, including diarrhea-type conditions. Laxatives should be avoided at all costs.

Happy Holidays

Seriously. You've probably heard this a million times, but I will reiterate: Be careful out there. Enjoy the holidays and the food, but watch what you eat so that you can enjoy ALL OF the holidays and avoid the after-holiday misery brought on by diarrhea and hemorrhoids.

Good article. I too, had hemorrhoids after my first pregnancy. I have to say that my first go at handling my hemorrhoids was with ointments. While it provided some relief, the discomfort from hemorrhoids continued. Without getting rid of them, I continued to suffer from pain and itching. I was able to eventually handle them naturally at home by addressing the root of the problem. This hemorrhoids remedy
gets to the root of the problem and it works.

I used to suffer from quite bad from both constipation & diarrhea on a regular basis. It's very uncomfortable if you have it. I think I've tried almost every kind of laxative and anti-diarrheals on the market. The problem with these is that they don't solve the underlying problem.

It wasn't until I discovered food combining that both my constipation & diarrhea finally stopped.

Food combining is not a new idea and first appeared over 100 years ago. It works because different types of food trigger the release of different types of digestive enzymes, some acidic and some alkaline. On their own, each type of enzyme does a great job of breaking down foods – just as nature intended. But when both types of enzymes are released at the same time that's when constipation problems can occur.

It's because the acid & alkaline enzymes neutralize each other, inhibiting the digestive process. The food doesn't get broken down properly and hey presto, there's a logjam and constipation is the result.

I know of a hemorrhoid cure. I'm speaking first hand that it works well. Cures all hemorrhoid problems and such in as little as 48 hours! This article does a great job of summing everything up about how much hemorrhoids suck and that's why I was so happy I found this cure.

  7. Most people don’t realize that one of the main functions of the lower colon is to absorb water, so if you are not getting enough it can definitely put you at higher risk of becoming constipated.Adding fiber in food and drinking water in the morning, even before coffee would help.
    Great post btw.

Totally agree regarding the diarrhea and constipation. In my case I was sent for a barium test to confirm whether I had piles or something else and ended with both – diarrhea from the laxatives I had to take and constipation from the barium – utter pain. I have some other piles facts and a natural cure that worked for me in my blog http://www.cureforpilesandhemorrhoids.com – do feel free to take a look.

If you tend to get diarrhea I would highly recommend staying away from certain holidays foods. Dips for chips and veggies where germs can easily be transferred from person to person. Any funny seafood items like crab dip or oysters. Carved poultry sitting out at room temperature is a breeding ground for germs. I get very sick with diarrhea almost every year around the holidays so I am very careful to try to avoid any questionable food.
