Changing light bulbs at your house shouldn't be a major operation, right? Well, it is at my house. The distance from floor to ceiling inside the house is about 260 centimeters or about eight and a half feet. The distance from the eaves of the house (all four sides) to the ground is about 540 centimeter or nearly 18 feet. It's obvious I need two different ladders (one step ladder and one extension ladder) or a combination ladder of some kind.

The city of Olongapo has two traffic circles. One is on Rizal Avenue and is used instead of a four-way intersection, probably due to the heavy traffic in the Olongapo City Public Market area. The other forms a "Y" intersection, with one direction continuing on Rizal Avenue and the other continuing to Magsaysay Drive. Both lead to gates for the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Before I went to sleep last night, I spotted this huge brown huntsman spider scurrying across a wall in my master bedroom, heading for the bathroom. The spider was bigger than my right hand, at least six inches across.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a thing about sea fishing, or fishing in general, other than what I've seen in person or on TV (or in the movies). Actually, that's not completely true because I went fishing with my father and other relatives when I was young (before the age of 18). I really don't remember doing it all that much, so I can honestly claim that I don't know anything about fishing and I'm not really lying either. I don't think memories from 30+ years ago count as experience, especially since I was so young.

Yesterday was the last day I could renew my vehicle registration without being penalized. I renewed it at the last minute, so to speak, along with my liability insurance. I almost forgot about it, and I would have, had my wife not called and reminded me to get it taken care of.

Although gold deposits have been found in all parts of the Philippines, Chinese traders in the 3rd century referred to Luzon as the "Isle of Gold". The cities of Manila and Olongapo are located on the island of Luzon. Gold mines in the Philippines yield more than 30 metric tons per year, nearly the same amount as before the industry collapsed due to the Pacific war (during World War II). I don't know what the gold value is these days, but that's a whole lot of gold.

Well, the slaughterhouse itself is not becoming a college campus, but the campus will be on that land. I have no idea if the buildings will be left intact, but I seriously doubt it.
A commenter mentioned WikiMapia and that's where I copied the image pieces from, after zeroing in on the areas that I needed to write about.
