The End of My Ongoing Comments Contest
Yes, I have ended my ongoing comments contest. To be honest, my heart was no longer in it. I skipped a week, planning to combine them into one award, and I still didn't have any desire to do it again.

This week's award was delayed because my DSL connectivity yesterday sucked to no end. It's not much better today.
Okay, I'm making this official. Starting with the effective date of March 30th, 2008, I am continuing with the comment king/queen awards that I had to put on hold, as I wrote about in the last comment king/queen award announcement.
All you have to do is leave a comment, even a search engine optimized comment, on a post anywhere on the blog. Please leave a signature within your comments. I don't want to spend more time figuring out who you are than writing the next announcement.
I will tally the number of comments per person on Sunday, April 6th, after 4 pm local time. There will be no ties — I am the tiebreaker.
Before I start with this week, I thought I'd better tell you about next week (and possibly until after the week ending March 22, 2008). A week from today, I'll be leaving on a jet plane (c'mon and sing it with me) and won't be returning until March 21st. Depending on being able to use the computers belonging to my wife's cousin and my little sister (yeah, but not so little at 42), or having to fend for myself at the local library, writing articles that are keyed to days or weeks may be a little difficult. Sunday the 17th is definitely out of the question. I probably won't have the opportunity to even look at a computer until Wednesday, the day after my wife's surgery.

After discounting a comment on my About RT page (it's not a post, but a permanent static page and yes, I never included it in the rules, so sue me) the week was a toss up between Sandy of Comedy Plus and Troy of The Free Website Project with 6 comments each.
After several flips of the coin, the winner is (drum roll, please)… Sandee. Here's your shiny new badge, "Comedy Plus":

Sandee's last blog post was "The Way to Heaven", a religious humor post.
Last week was a triple coin toss to see who would come out on top. Three people were equal in their amounts of comments:
And the winner is… Corey. Here's your badge, "MrCorey":

Corey's last blog post (prior to the end of the week) was "Why, thank you! Now, scram!", when he addressed some of his blog spammers.

This week's award was delayed because… I'm an idiot and I forgot.
If Hari of Hari's Corner didn't graciously bow out of the weekly comment contest, he would almost always be the top commenter for the week. I think he spends as much time here at this blog as he does his own. He even writes guest articles from time to time.
The next person on the list, with 9 comments for the week is "Dick". The IP2Country database shows that Dick is in Indonesia, but the database has been known to be wrong on many occasions. While the website URL he adds to his comments isn't a blog, it's still a valid URL and in his case, it's isound.be. The logo at the website says "www.isound.be" and it's an online music store. The IP address is based in Russia but the country code used for the domain is Belgium.
Before I create the badge, I would like to hear from Dick. I would love to get a last name and if he has a blog, I'd like to link to it instead of an online music store (unless, of course, he's a part or the complete owner of the music store). Perhaps he can clarify the information the web is giving me so that I don't look like a complete ass (and only a partial ass).
Despite having hundreds of comments this last week, V. Harishankar "Hari" of Hari's Corner still stood out as the most frequent commenter with a mere 7 comments. It's with pleasure that I hand him (virtually, of course) the Comment King award for the week.
Here's your badge, Hari:
