Why the Hansen Beverage Company and their Camel Piss (Monster Energy Drink) needs to Fail
If you're a regular reader, please forgive me for harping on this. You see, I get extremely pissed off when I see the schoolyard bully on the rampage. Hansen Beverage Company and their camel piss drink called Monster Energy Drink have gone after the little guy with their billion-dollar coffers. I can't use expletives or be as vocal as Allyn Hane was a short time ago when he did a video blog about Monster Energy Drink.
Over a Month has Passed
The lawyer for Hansen Beverage Company started this all on September 14th by sending a cease and desist letter to a small business in Vermont USA. While getting the word out and writing about it should be effective in getting Hansen's attention, I don't think it's going to hurt them enough to matter all by itself.
The best way to hurt Hansen is to do it with your wallet, by boycotting anything with "Monster Energy Drink" or "Hansen's" on it. If you want to know what kind of beverages you're not going to buy, just go to their product page.
The Hansen Beverage Company hasn't backed off yet, after a month, and they need to be taught a lesson in the only way they apparently know how: A loss of profits. I'm sure their corporate shareholders would be none too pleased to find their dividends gutted by the adults of mainstream America.
My Apologies to the Camels
When I say that Monster Energy Drink tastes like camel piss, I'm doing a disservice to all camels everywhere. I actually tasted the drink once and it's fair to say that it tasted worse than camel piss could possibly taste.
There may be a group of people in Saudi Arabia who actually agree with me about the camel piss. I have never tasted camel piss for myself, so I will have to take their word for it.

These tools need what they are getting. Perhaps it will set a precedence for them and other stupid corps like them in the future, "remember that Monster incident?" Hopefully a good learning lessen.

Even without the tactics of Hansen, I think there are so many great tasting (and healthier) drinks made by small companies. I'm a fan of the Hot Lips Sodas and snow drinks myself. But there are lots of others too.

I think it's ridiculous what Hansen is doing to these people in Vermont- it's just one more sad example of the way big corporations run our country. I definitely plan to boycott all of their products from now on- not that it will be a major stretch- I've never really cared for then anyway.

I had no idea about the terrible business practices behind Monster before now.. thanks for the heads up!
Ahh this really pissed me off. Vermonster beer is an awesome brew but…… Ben and Jerry's, Vermont's finest, also sell Gallon sized buckets of ice cream called Vermonster.
I don't see Hansen going after them? Probably because B&J are owned by Unilever, me thinks, and Unilever could crush their sorry little behinds.
