Not Global Thermonuclear War and More Fun

I just spent several HOURS stuck at Orc Pad, playing flash games. I was browsing through the titles and found some in which the games themselves wouldn't load after the pages did. I was thinking there were too many people playing those particular games and instead of waiting, I moved onto the next.

I couldn't find any global thermonuclear war games (like Missile Command) and I actually searched for something like that before browsing through some interesting titles. Since my son was sitting next to my ear, jibber-jabbering like Mr. T says not too (if you don't know what I'm talking about, check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eisa5AZ20W0), I tried a couple of quest-type games and I only remember Quest in the Dark. Since hunting for objects in a game bores me to death, I ignored my son and moved onto something more to my liking and much simpler.

I found Raft Wars and quickly became addicted to shooting tennis balls (I think that's what they were), hand grenades and missiles at other raft dwellers. The problem was the hippo was in the way or I would have had a direct shot. Oh well.

Time Truly Flies

Especially when having fun. Before I realized what I was doing, several hours had passed. This is why I normally don't play anything other than chess or something like that and only when I'm the victim of yet another power outage.

I didn't bother to take inventory at the site, but it looked like there were hundreds of games. They're all flash-based and the kinds of games I would never be able to duplicate even if I tried to learn game design.

I know there are probably dozens of flash-game type sites, but this just happened to be the first one I landed on — and I wasn't even looking for it. Like a typical newbie web surfer, I was looking for something else and I'll be damned if I can remember what it was.
