I'm not sure if this is a multi-author blog or the author has multiple personalities. Your guess is as good as mine.
What is the "Amateur Brain Surgery" all about?
Other than amateur brain surgery, I really can't tell you what it's about. There are articles about all kinds of things from the perspective of people (or a multiple personality disorder suffering person) in the UK.
Site Design
Although I like fluid-width themes because of my widescreen monitor, I don't like this theme. It's called "Omit Needless Elements" and some of those needless elements need to be there. There's no "about" page, no contact page, and no archives list (other than the calendar that has to be paged through).
If this blog was monetized and seeking search-only visitors, then I'd say it had enough to do the job. But it isn't monetized and it isn't optimized for search, so I think those missing items should be there… somewhere.
Article Content
I actually like two of the recent articles, "Recreational drugs: a question of morality?" and "Stop Having Babies to Save the Planet".
I'm with the author on safe, recreational drugs. That is, provided they can be tested for in people who are operating heavy machinery, like cars!
People will never stop having babies, no matter how wishful you think. It seems, from my own perspective, that the poorer the people are, the more babies they have. No TV? Let's have sex!
My Overall Opinion
The blog is strange, I'll tell you that. In general, I like it. Other than the missing theme items, I don't really see anything wrong with it.
This is one of those blogs where you have to go through the pages at least once, even if you're not inclined to do so. There's enough there to keep you interested for a couple of hours at least.
Would you like a Review?
My reviews are simple, including at least one link to an article as well as a link to the blog or website. They're also absolutely free. Make sure your blog is ready to be reviewed and then submit it on my "Request A Blog Review" page and I'll try to do my best to give you a fair review, without being overly critical.
