Blog Review: Tampa Real Estate News Blog
What is the purpose of the "Tampa Real Estate News Blog"?
The Tampa Real Estate News Blog focuses on real estate (naturally) in the Tampa, Florida area of the US.
What the title doesn't say, and it really can't, are the specific areas the news is about. Those specific areas include Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, Dunedin, Lansbrook, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Tampa and Tampa Bay.
Site Design
I wonder who created this nifty theme. There are no credits in the footer. I appreciate the fluid widths of both the header and the footer and this is the kind of theme I might want to use on a new blog.
The navigational bar at the top that separates the specific coverage areas is something I haven't seen much of, but where's the "about" page for the blog? The contact form in the right sidebar sticks out, and I understand why, but isn't an "about" page almost as important? I don't know about you, but if I was in the market for a home, I'd be more inclined to contact someone I could easily attach a name and a face to.
The blog loads fast. There's no image in the header and there are no superfluous widgets in either sidebar. I like it.
Article Content
Before I read "June 08 Exciting Mortgage News", I wasn't sure of the target audience. After reading and reading comments on other articles, I soon realized it was aimed at other people in the real estate business.
My Overall Opinion
I'm not sure a blog like this is the right platform for interacting with other real estate-related professionals. It's either drawing very little traffic or it's drawing mostly repeat traffic. I really can't tell. In my opinion, a static website would work just as well.
Regardless of the purpose of the blog, I'm sorry to say that I'm just not interested.
Would you like a Review?
My reviews aren't great. They're far from it. They're absolutely free, however, and you can't beat that with a stick. Make sure your blog is ready to be reviewed and then submit it on my "Request A Blog Review" page and I'll try to do my best to give you a fair review. The key word is "try".

I'm not interested either. Who wants to live in Florida? Not me and I hate California that is just about the same as Florida. Have a great day RT.

Needs to be spiced up a bit. It is sort of a boring subject with a boring template.
Boring is a matter of perspective. It gets comments, which is more than I can say for some blogs that have more eye candy and better topics.
This appears to be a blog just waiting to be monetized with Adsense. Build a few links, get in good with Google, then add Adsense and the cash starts rolling in.

I would agree if it wasn't for the fact that the blog is over 2 years old. No one waits 2 years intentionally to monetize a blog.
Not a bad Blog…Decent content
Thank you for reviewing my blog above! I appreciate your comments. The blog nav bar looks different on IE and FF which is something I need to look into to. So even if (and I need to) added another page "about us" right now, not sure I can get it to show up. Will work on that, thanks for the suggestion. I'm getting about 140 unique visitors a day right now. Comedy Plus – I'm sorry you don't like Florida. Hey, it's not for everybody (thank goodness)! I'm about to post about our upcoming House Hunters show, so please check back and read it. And, don't hesitate to leave a comment, it's a dofollow blog. Thanks again!
Put a widget in the upper left sidebar. You can put your home, archives, about, etc there and it will be just as easy to find as where the home link is right now.
I lived in Tampa for 51 years and its home so I cant say much negative, however the real estate market in Tampa is in the midst of a huge slump. I am losing a house there myself, the site is prime for Adsense , but I wonder why the wait, but I agree RT I love the theme
My latest blog post: Im Thinking Mark Ress Wont Use This Post
My uncle lives in Boca Raton, Florida. His house has been on the market for almost two years and he has not gotten an offer. If seems from posts here that the market is equally bad in Tampa. Who knows how long it may take for the inventory on the market to dissipate. Eventually the market will pick up; its just a matter of time. If a home is priced right thats just a start in todays market.
A web page that loads quickly is very fast is extremely important today. People do not typically wait too long before moving on. Any blog is good that provides useful info.
I think it provides enough information, nothing too much and nothing too less and that makes it a reliable blog.
I visit it regularly.
Not a bad theme at all, perhaps someone removed the author credit at the bottom and put it online?
Great blog
I like the theme and the purpose. Tampa homes will recover. Looking at March sales data demonstrates this.
Keep up the nice work!!
