This blog is supposedly powered by flaxseed oil (according to the tagline) and I have absolutely no idea what that means. Perhaps it's the oil used on sports equipment such as baseball bats and billiard cues.
What is the "Juiced Sports Blog" all about?
Well it's a blog about sports. Duh! The difference between this blog and other sports-oriented blogs that I've looked at is that it doesn't focus on one particular sport.
Site Design
I don't want to be overly critical, but I didn't like being subjected to 3 different ads before even getting a chance to look at the content, one of them being a rapidly changing banner ad. Yes, the MaxBlogPress Stripe Ad counts as one of them.
The rest of the page doesn't look too bad, although I still think there are too many banner ads. Text ads would blend in much better. We always have a choice between blending, complementing, or contrasting ads, but the ads on these pages are all in contrast with the dark background.
The 3-column split theme looks nice enough (kind of like mine, but different
). The "about" and "contact" navigation links are there between the banners at the top, although I had a brief time differentiating them from other kinds of links.
Article Content
Being a non-sports fanatic, I can't really be objective about any of the articles. I read and comprehended the article on "Not hits, no problem!" but it wasn't something I thought about much even after I was done.
My Overall Opinion
If you like sports, you may like this blog. There's a little bit of everything sports-related thrown into the mix.
I, for one, will not be repeating my visit because it's not my thing. It doesn't have anything to do with age because there are guys older than me having heart attacks while screaming at various ball games. I guess I'm just a nerd, a geek, or whatever, but not a sports fan.
Would you like a Review?
My reviews aren't great. They're far from it. They're absolutely free, however, and you can't beat that with a stick. Make sure your blog is ready to be reviewed and then submit it on my "Request A Blog Review" page and I'll try to do my best to give you a fair review. The key word is "try".
