Look closely at the little picture I've placed to your left. US Representative William Delahunt committed an act of treason against the country of the United States of America on June 26, 2008. The American Heritage dictionary defines treason as the "Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies." Even if treason can't be proven, Delahunt has still committed a crime.
Democrat's al Qaeda comment sparks Republican ire
I've linked the header above to the article posted at CNN's website. If you don't know the whole story, I invite you to read it now. Down below, you'll find the video I've embedded from YouTube which displays Delahunt's treasonous behavior.
Although I'm a registered Republican, I have voted for Republican, Democrats and independent candidates in the past. I will have difficulty this year, if it's even possible, to vote for anyone as the American President because I'm living in the Philippines. I'm only mentioning this so you can understand that I'm not taking sides on this issue.
The Issue Isn't About Politics
Although some would say this all about politics, it isn't. It's about a crime that's been committed. I'm no legal expert and treason may not be provable in a court of law. At the very least, Delahunt should be charged with attempted murder.
David Addington is the chief of staff for Vice President Dick Cheney and a proponent of the harsh interrogation at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp. If he wasn't a target of the al Qaeda terrorist organization before this, he is now.
It's no secret that al Qaeda members watch American news feeds. Every time one of our elected representatives opens his or her mouth and says something to aid them in whatever their motives are, they're undermining the US government. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who does that is a traitor to the country.
Please do something about it.
If I had the money in my possession to pay for the flight and to stay in the US for even a short time, I would be there as soon as humanly possible in order to file charges at the first US court I could get to. Since I don't, it's up to other American citizens.
Any American citizen can file criminal charges against any other American citizen and I urge you to do so if you possibly can. If Congressman Delahunt is allowed to get away with this, other elected officials will be even more daring with what they think they can get away with and probably will.
My Personal Thoughts About Congressman Delahunt
Delahunt is now a worthless piece of human trash. Whatever qualifications he had for serving as an elected representative for the Congress of the US flew out the window when he opened his big, fat mouth to point out an enemy of al Qaeda. Mr. Addington told him he couldn't tell him what he wanted to hear and he took it upon himself to make a remark that was totally uncalled for.
An apology isn't good enough. He can't take it back. It doesn't matter if he meant it or not. There are no "do overs" in real life. Delahunt should resign. Better yet, he should go behind the building and shoot himself for being both a moron and a traitor. If you think I'm being overly harsh and judgmental, you should have seen what I edited out.
