Blog Review: GadgetLite
I like gadget blogs when they're done right. This one is almost perfect.
What is the "GadgetLite" all about?
The "about" page says:
A gadget blog based in the UK, dedicated to covering a full range of worldwide emerging technologies, websites, gadgets, mobile phones and inventions – from automotives to aerospace, handheld devices to supercomputers, robotics to home automation.
It's a gadget geek blog with a touch of humor. Interesting enough that I subscribed to the email feed.
Site Design
The blog appears to be optimized for social traffic. The sidebar is full of widgets designed to get attention from visitors. In my opinion, they distract somewhat from the post content. I'm willing to bet with the Entrecard widget alone, the AdSense CTR is really low.
The design itself is attractive enough, but I'm more interested in the content than the eye candy. Images are effectively used in almost every post.
Article and Post Content
Tech blogs are always filled with interesting content. To put my finger on a favorite is difficult. Some things just stand out, however, and I can't resist. "Just a bit of bank holiday weekend humour…" is like that. The kid on the potty? That would have been me if home computers were around back then.
"Latest technology: Will e-paper replace traditional newspapers???": I believe it will, eventually.
My Overall Opinion
I subscribed to the email feed and that alone should tell you what I think of the blog content. Like I said, the eye candy doesn't interest me. I'll probably visit only when I want to comment on something.

This is the first new blog review here. I haven't moved any of the others over yet. I have moved some video stuff. Look under the models and recreation categories.
It's going to take some time to get everything back in place. I still have a 100 video reviews and a few blog reviews to move.
