This television series, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", takes place between the 2nd and 3rd movies in the franchise. I was late, really late, in getting the first few episodes to watch. So far, only 9 episodes have been completed due to the writers strike that occurred this year (the strike may have begun in late 2007, but I don't know for sure).

In the pilot episode, they time travel 8 years into the future, from 1999 to 2007. I can't remember whether it was the pilot or the first episode, but we find out that they leaped over Sarah's death in 2005 caused by Leukemia. If you saw the 3rd movie, then you already know she was dead in it. "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" has already changed that timelime. In 1999, she would have died 6 years later. In this timeline, she's now alive less than 4 years from "judgment day" (I think they said 2011). She can't die of any kind of cancer before judgment day.

Regardless, I'm already addicted to this show. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles stars Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker, Summer Glau, and Richard T. Jones. I haven't seen any episode yet that introduced more new regular cast members. Here's a trailer:
