All your gecko are belong to us!

gecko With deference to the original "All your base are belong to us", all of the 100 plus geckos living in my house are fired!

Within the last 3 hours, I have chased down, squashed and flushed 3 humongous cockroaches. These buggers can fly! Not only that, but they're big enough to carry off small babies. They're huge! I hate cockroaches! As far as I'm concerned, they're the nastiest insects on face of the planet.

I know I have a lot of geckos in my house because I see them scurrying from place to place. I hear them "bark" at night. You know what? On second thought, those roaches were bigger than the geckos. What I really need is a Komodo dragon or even a Gila Monster for roaches this big. Sadly, I haven't seen anything larger than a gecko in this neighborhood.

Perhaps I could develop a way to get the geckos to work together to wipe out this cockroach invasion, military like. I mean, I've seen them doing push-ups. No? Oh well…

OMG, do I remember those days. I dealt with the dreaded flying cockroaches while living in Hawaii. Luckily, I had a Black Lab that loved them, first to play with unmercilessly, then when they would finally stop moving I would hear that inevitable "CRUNCH" – he would POP them dead … and for some reason I felt much glee in hearing that "CRUNCH" – that black lab was better than any pest control I could have hired. Enjoy your night.

Roaches are evil creatures. Majorly evil. I deal with them once of twice a year. Maybe you could get some bats, they would wipe out the roaches and geckos. But what to do with the bats…

  3. I love the geckos. We have a few little ones that live in our house, and quite few more just outside. Sadly, there's very little that can be done about cockroaches. Even with an army of geckos (or boric acid if you prefer), they'll only stay away for so long.

Oh well, the price of paradise.

And the gecko can help you with your car insurance. Maybe we should be testing new food additives and make-up on cockroaches instead of rats. Hey have been hit with a meme lately? Well, you have now. Enjoy.

  5. It sounds like those geckos can be good to have around the house.

  6. I'd love to have little geckos running around my house although a hundred might be too many. Not sure about the cockroaches though. Not sure I've ever seen a real one, only on tv. Good luck with training your gecko army… (lol @ gecko pushups).
