Josie The Cyst

As I mentioned in "There's no place like home!", Josie had the cyst in her left breast drained on February 18th. This isn't remarkable in itself, but the history surrounding it is a good reason to seek out specialists. She had been to other doctors for more than 3 years that kept telling her it was nothing more than "fibrous tissue" that came and went along with her menstrual cycle. She was enduring pain in her left breast all the time due to this wrong diagnosis.

When Josie finally saw a doctor which specialized in whatever doctors specialize in when it comes to mammaries (heck, I don't know), it was diagnosed as a cyst the first time. Anyway, she no longer has the cyst and no longer has the pain.

The Dual-Tonsillectomy

As I later mentioned in "10 Days of Misery", the dual-tonsillectomy went off without a hitch, but my wife was making me as miserable as she was.

She tells me now that her throat itches. This is the final stage of healing, so the itching is a natural consequence of surgery. I took her to a Golden Corral all-you-can-eat joint yesterday for the breakfast buffet and coffee and she was able to eat almost normally. $18 and some change for both us… not bad.

I won't be writing about her health anymore, unless something changes for the worse. She's working again already and I'm prepared for my long return trip to the Philippines on the 21st.
