Blog Review: Hair Transplant Help

I'm not sure what Jamie hoped to gain with a blog review of "Hair Transplant Help", other than a few backlinks. It's obviously a niche blog geared to draw search engine traffic. It uses WordPress as the platform, but you wouldn't know it without looking at the source because everything that a standard blog would have (other than the contact and about pages) is missing.

The theme works well for the purpose it's being used for and that's about all I can say about it. In fact, there's really nothing more I CAN say about this blog. I'm just not interested in hair transplants.

Hi RT, I know you've reviewed Hari's Corner once, but I thought I'd get your feedback on the changes I've made recently, especially since I moved from WP to b2evolution..

  No problem, Hari. I just did two because I'm way, way behind and I don't know what kind of access I'm going to have in Phoenix and Coolidge for sure. I'll try to slip it in tomorrow. I have one or two more posts to take care of today.

For shame! Jamie, thou hast reduced the noble name of blogging to that of little more than a parked domain.

    When you get your WordPress blog up and running, let me know. I know it will be a while, but I can do a re-review for it, just like Hari's.

    In a comment on another post, he said he was and I didn't go back to his site to see (and I just did). Yep, he's happy with the new version of B2E.

      At the risk of prolonging a b2e/wordpress debate, I'm in a kind of awkward position and have no idea what I'll end up doing. On the one hand, I'm very happy with the current b2e and very unhappy with the process of losing all (or some) of my content in the transfer. On the other, my web designer is working for free and prefers WP. I don't want to make things harder for him, so I may end up switching, if I can't convince him that b2evo skins are fairly easy to make.
      
      Still, I'll let you know how it turns out here.

        b2evo skins are no more or less difficult than WP ones. Both use PHP and both are fairly easy to figure out once you dig into the code.
        
        In fact, because of the "skinning" concept, you actually needn't have any template files at all and you could build a whole theme out of a single CSS file (provided you want to keep the default XHTML code). You can do a lot of customization using just CSS.
        Or you could just take the index.main.php file and customize it. Really it all depends on how much of customization you're looking for.
        
        If you're looking for a theme designed for you, let me know. I can work on something which fairly resembles wordpress (like permalink titles, for instance)

  Funny how our society pays so much attention to celebrities! For the record, I think it's hilarious how some stars have less than perfect hair transplants, considering the amount of money they have. Perhaps they got it before the technology got better? Or are we just too critical of our celebs? =P
