Arun The Ace

Despite my thoughts that Arun is wasting space above the fold and that he could do better with the AdSense placements, I actually found "Arun The Ace" pleasing to look at upon first arrival. It tells me he thought about the appearance from the start.

I was looking for things to ding him on, but the only real thing that seems to be a problem are the apostrophes. Every post and every page seems to have a question mark where apostrophes should appear and it makes it difficult to read. I bounced around so many pages on his blog that I can't remember where I saw it, but he said he blogs from an Internet cafe. So… Arun isn't in Kansas, Toto. Being the mild-mannered sleuth hound that I am, and since he didn't say where he is, I looked up his registry information and found that he's in India. Oops, one thing — where the heck are the archives?

I read Arun's TNX.net review with an open mind. I published my own thoughts about the service when I mentioned I was cashing out and leaving TNX.net back in November. It drew a single negative comment from "Danielle" who didn't leave any URL behind. She spoke of "crappy websites" yet didn't seem to want to risk having her own associated with it. Sure, TNX.net links can't be detected by the Googlebot, but they can be detected by human visitors (as spammy looking links). Believe it or not, Google employees do visit blogs.

Anyway, in order to prevent myself from droning on and on, I'll summarize by saying that I think Arun's blog has a lot of potential and only needs a few minor things fixed in order to be really, really good.
