FC Football Blog

I hesitated to do a review for the FC Football Blog for one reason only. I was visually assaulted by the blatantly obvious advertising upon arrival. I sincerely hope he's making money with those ads, because he's not going to get a lot of returning, regular readers with the ads the way they're placed. According to the footer, the theme was designed by Maki at Dosh Dosh, but it doesn't look like any of the themes that Maki has made public.

Ignoring the ads and delving into the content, it looks like Rocwood (the nickname on his "about" page) delivers the goods on Football (Soccer) news. There are plenty of images and videos to enhance what's written, an example of which is "Barcelona 1 - 0 Villarreal - Copa del Rey Highlights". I'm not into sports, but I can tell when an author puts a lot of effort into creating appealing content.

This blog needs a makeover. The author needs to consider a theme that's more sports-oriented and hides the majority of the ads from the regular readers while being optimized for search engine visitors. There are now at least two WordPress plugins that can do exactly that: Who Sees Ads? and Shylock AdSense (hacked).

Does anyone disagree with my assessment?
