If you've followed along since my post on a possible disappearing act, you'll know that this year's anniversary (today) is less than a happy one.
My wife let me know, the night before last, that her dual tonsillectomies will take place on February 19th. She also told me she was scheduled for another appointment with her doctor, that day, to go over the test results of her mammogram and her sonogram. She told me the results last night. She has a cyst in her left breast that has to be removed. When it rains it pours.
I'm waiting for her to give me the scheduled surgery date for that one now. This coming Friday or the following Monday (depending on other factors), I'll be heading over to the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (the local office) to get the necessary paperwork done as well going to the travel agency to get the round-trip tickets. I'm trying to get a flight date to Phoenix as close as, and just prior to, any surgery. I need to be there for the surgery and the recovery, not any days leading up to the surgery.
In previous years, we've treated our wedding anniversary as kind of holiday. Not so this time, I'm afraid.
