Blog Lock Down

As the Sky News broadcast relating to the events that transpired after I posted "A Possible Disappearing Act" airs in less than 5 hours, I have to prepare my blog to take a beating from a lot of visitors all at once. Just before 3:30 am local time (7:30 pm the day prior in the UK), I'll be placing the blog in WP Super Cache lock down mode. New comments will not alter the cached, static pages for the duration of the lock down and new comments will not appear until the lock down is removed.

I don't expect a problem with traffic coming from Sky News itself, but if someone puts it up on Digg.com, the potential for a digg slam is there and I have to be prepared for it.

I will return to blogging as normal as soon as I see that the coast is clear.
