I am NOT a Glory Hound!

I'm not a glory hound. Really. All of my life, all I've ever wanted to do was blend in. Over the past 30 years, I've been a manager, a leader, a father and many other things. There have been times when I was thrust into the limelight despite my best efforts to avoid it.

Yesterday, I was contacted by Sky News out of the UK because they wanted to run a story on the recent blogosphere altruism event that I unwittingly started with my post on a possible disappearing act (which should air on the 22nd). Ruth, a multi-media producer there, asked me if I would go to a studio somewhere to record a comment and I declined for a couple of reasons that I won't go into here. The point is that I'm not into self-promotion like that.

      I've used maybe a 6th of what's available for the month so I should be okay. The WP Super Cache really cuts down on the bandwidth usage, along with cutting out a bunch of 3rd party widgets.

      That's just it, I don't want to be a public personality. This blog is as public as I want to get.

      Oh, I'm a good singer. I just don't have the looks to go with it.

   That video is indeed a classic. I'm not sure if it was put up for self promotion though. Maybe he thought it was just a fun thing to do.

   I also hate to be public attention focus. I am sure that I am even worse than anyone else…My friends told me that I have to change this habbit. But, still I do not know how to do it and the important reason why I should.
