Station Atomica

Damn, I wish I had an ounce of the pound of creativity that Andy has. Just look at the header! "Station Atomica" is the kind of blog I like to read, but not because of the content. More on that in a moment.

The theme is the WordPress K2 theme, highly modified. Instead of a contact page, however, Andy chooses to include his email address at the end of each post. There are two things that bother me, but they bother me for his sake. The ads need to disappear to the point that only search engine visitors see them. Otherwise, they're not going to pay off in the long run. I recommend the plugin "Who Sees Ads" and to use the search engine option only. The other thing is the number of FeedBurner subscribers. A low number will most likely have the opposite effect of what was intended — to get more subscribers.

I won't go into detail about any article I've read there yet, but I'll point out some "writing" that I enjoyed reading. Let's take the latest article, "2007 Station Atomica! Vidja Game Awards" as one example and "Brand New Update Schedule!" as another:

It is a little known fact that Station Atomica is the most trusted name in video and computer game reviews. Hell, it was unknown to me until I started writing this update!

Why? Because it is my site and you aren’t the boss of me.

You see what I mean?
