There are some occasions in which I really don't like doing blog reviews. This is one such occasion. I'm not going to say "The Walking Tower" is a bad blog, because it isn't. The things I see, well, a lot of people may not notice.
The theme looks nice enough and the orange (it looks orange to me) gradient and links really offset the grays. It may just be me, but I find it pleasing to look at. The only real problem I see with it is all the wasted space above the fold. That's the area visitors first see when they arrive at a website and you want to use it to your best advantage.
I started reading some of the articles on the front page and I had to stop. The first 5 appeared to be sponsored posts, all in a row. I may be wrong, but I've done sponsored posts and it's hard to mask them because of the required links. It doesn't matter if they're not identified as such. They look like sponsored posts, even if one or more of them aren't. I went to the second page and read "The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is not liquid". Aha! A blogger from the Philippines, just like me. He banks with BPI and I bank with PNB. Here in Olongapo City, those banks are practically across the street from one another.
I can only summarize this review by saying that if you go to read the blog, your mileage may vary. I'm positive there's good and original stuff on the blog, but I don't feel the desire to dig for it.
