Dave Pen stopped by and dropped a comment at my ancient (in Internet terms) post, "I Will Promote Your Blog. No Kidding.". I responded that I would do what I could and suggested a couple of changes right off the bat. I offered to do a review. Either he hasn't read what I responded with or he hasn't had an opportunity to do anything about it. I'm doing the review now, and skipping others in the queue (sorry!) because I think he REALLY needs help with "Technology-Product Reviews".
I hope Dave understands what I'm telling him. According to his Blogger profile, he's a student in Nigeria, so I'm pretty sure English isn't his first language. To start with, the theme is all wrong for a technology blog — plain and boring and it quite looks like the default Blogger theme. While it's not against Google's terms of service for AdSense, having 2 different AdSense blocks at the top of the blog is going to send visitors away faster than you can say, well, anything! Also, I don't think showing RSS subscriber numbers that are less than 10 are going to impress anyone.
Although it may not matter to him, I commented that he shouldn't display the PayPerPost banners at the bottom of the blog. I don't think he wants his blog to stay at a PageRank of 0 forever. I'm not going to comment on any articles that's he's posted because there's not much to choose from and I'll be honest and say that none of them look appealing enough to read. The layout and general appearance of his blog needs a WHOLE LOT of work.
