Am I Boring You?
You see the image to the left and you probably think I'm going to talk about products on sale that are advertised with the "As Seen On TV" badge. Nothing could be further from the truth.
That badge indicates that a product is either extremely cheap, or a symbol of quality, depending on the perspective of the viewer. In a similar fashion, you may have a perspective of what kind of person I am. I could be an extremely boring person who writes nothing but Asian ramblings, a fascinating person who makes interesting observations, or someone in between. From my own perspective, I'm an extremely boring person and I write like one. To me, that fact is absolutely true.
Over most of the last 30 years, I spent most of my time being anything but a boring person, both in and out of the military, kind of like Sarge Charlie. Nowadays, I do things so you don't have to, knowing full well you'll never notice. It all happens behind the scenes most of the time. Speaking of behind the scenes, there are other people that do things like this. People like Andy Beard, Maki of Dosh Dosh and Chris Lodge of Blog-Op make things happen even when they're really not trying.
As I sit on my retired duff behind my PC, thinking my brown thoughts, I realize that I can't please you all of the time. Heck, I probably can't please you half of the time. Do you want to know something? I don't care! I don't have the necessary skills to always be an engaging and lively person. I don't even have enough skills to pay the bills most of the time.
When I write, I know that every opinion of mine is just another opinion among many. Of course, everybody's entitled to my opinion, even if you don't like it. I do, however, value the opinions of others over my own. Opinions of people like Erika Jean, Hazel of My Life, My Hope, My Future… and a myriad of others, are much more valuable to me than my own.
As one of my taglines indicates, I write blog reviews, promote other blogs, write about blogging issues, and write about monetization. These things keep me from boring myself, yet the question remains: Am I boring YOU?

Very inventive post RT, and no, you're not boring me yet!

Boring? Not so far… so I think it's unlikely that you'll suddenly become so! Anyone who thinks (brown thoughts or any other sort) and engages with the world (online or off) cannot be boring. And yes, that's a very inventive way of giving us lots of good links to follow!
With creative posts like this, how could anyone be bored RT?
very nice… and thank you for such a nice mention!

Thanks, Pearl!
Your tireless reviews always impress me. How you take the time to review blogs for free is something I could never motivate myself to do. Especially when there is little recognition beyond the person who has requested the review.

Well, I believe in giving until it hurts. If I gain something in return, so much the better for me, but it's not something I require to stay motivated.
I have your blog on my reader and usually find you have something that interests me or I have learned from. No you're not boring. I must admit I am guilty of not commenting often, when they come up with the ability to comment from Google Reader that will be great. I usually only comment when I feel the person needs a lift, has something that I can comment intelligently on, or contribute anadditional thought . Often, for me, your posts fall in the category of 'that's a good idea' so I don't have much to add to the post.

I can understand that. Really, I don't look for a lot of comments anymore. If I get them, cool, if not then oh well.
Excellent, novel post RT! Keep up the great work – I love reading your varied posts…

I'm boring person who writes nothing but inane ramblings? Yes, in fact.
No, you're not boring, RT. This blog is a great place, I'm happy to have found it.

Hi RT,
No, you're not boring. You should pop back in to Plime sometime. We miss your non-boringness.

I don't hang out at Plime anymore for the same reasons I don't hang out at a lot of the other social sites. I just don't have the time with all the responsibilities I've accumulated over the last year. I stop by once in a while and take a look, but that's about it.
I'm not bored! What a creative way to incorporate some link love into your post. Well done! Thanks for including me.
Happy New Year!

First. I would just like to say I am drawn to anything that has the red "As Seen On TV" logo – regardless of its quality. The fact of the matter is… it looks freakin' neat or does something cool (or claims to atleast).
Second. I think we all have our boring moments! I know I do! I just try to focus on myself
I blog for myself… don't get me wrong – its awesome to know people are reading and i LOVE it when I get comments… but i try to focus on reality also – hey guess what… it's boring sometimes
Third. I think I caught a typo "I do, however, value the opinions of others over my own. Opinions of people like Erika Jean, Hazel of My Life, My Hope, My Futureâ?¦ and a myriad of others, are much more valuable to me than my own." Two words starts with E ands in n

So he links to me when I'm away and can't respond quickly…that's OK. I enjoyed this post, RT (and we made it over and back without death or dismemberment). I have checked out a few new places as a result of these links. Keep it coming!
That was a good one! probably the opposite of boring, I'd say.
