Overstock.com just launched a huge promotion called the "All I want for Christmas Giveaway". This is one of the coolest giveaways I've seen in a long time. Not only can you win a prize valued at up to $1000.00, 5 other people that you choose can all win prizes valued up to $1000 each.
The rules are pretty simple (and you can read them at their site). You can submit an entry for yourself and your friends once per day. That's a daily chance to win a gift certificate for yourself and your friends valued at $6000 to be used to buy merchandise from Overstock.com.
I just spent some time checking out the prizes. I'm not greedy, but I really want the Toshiba 37-inch Diagonal Regza LCD TV they have listed for $974.95. You might think of it as a pipe dream and that winning a prize is far from possible. There's an old phrase I like to use with people who think that way: You can't win if you don't play.
The sweepstakes runs from 12:00AM (MST) December 3, 2007 through 11:59PM (MST) December 7, 2007. If you choose 5 other people (for a total of 6, including yourself), that's 30 chances for someone in your group to win. You get 5 chances to win for yourself and 5 more chances to win if each person you select chooses you in return.
