Cashing Out And Leaving TNX.net

For those of you who don't know what TNX is, you're probably better off not knowing. I'll tell you what it is, though, so you can make up your own mind about it. It's a text link exchange service where you amass points that you can do one of three things with: 1) Use them to purchase text links on other sites, 2) Sell them to other TNX members, or 3) Sell them back to TNX.

I don't remember exactly what date I joined, but I had them remove my blog when I saw what was happening. There are still some of their text links on various pages of my blog, but they'll be gone as soon as I get paid for the points I'm selling back to them. The text links look exactly like paid links, despite their claim to the contrary, and that's the biggest problem I have with them. If I had complete control over how they were formatted, it wouldn't be so bad.

Another problem I had was that people were purchasing links on nonexistent pages, mostly old translated pages (generated by the Global Translator plugin). Deleting them everyday was turning into a royal PIA for me and watching my points drop accordingly wasn't too amusing either. When I signed up with TNX.net, I thought their "spidering" method would be to actually crawl my blog pages. I don't know where they got the links from, but some have been nonexistent for months.

My recent PR drop from 4 all the way to 0 has made my links worth very little at TNX since they use each link's PR to measure their value. This translates into pennies per link. I don't think it's worth it. I'm removing the code as soon as I can after what I earned in a month makes it into my PayPal account.

My opinion of TNX is that it's a good idea being managed in the wrong ways and I don't recommend it as a means to supplement your income. The small amount of money you'll earn isn't worth the effort you'll have to put into it. I'll be removing the image ad for it in a few minutes.

I had to cash out too. Even though Google only lowered the PR on my domain down to a 3 they zeroedd out all of the PR on my old pages.

The guys at TNX were very easy to talk to and they helped me cash out my points very quickly. It is a shame because I was bringing in over $250 a month with them!

  2. I had a very bad experience with TNX also. Although my problems were not down to losing PR but having so much trouble with the people managing the site. I was basically told that TNX.net wasn't for me if I didn't want to use their keyword suggestion tool. I think really this should be my choice and if i don't have the choice then they shouldn't be offering it at all. I wanted to use a single keyword across my ads not 20 or more as they advise(demand) as i wanted to check the effect it would have in comparison to other co-op networks. unfortunately this didn't fit in with the guys opinion of how i should use their site. i have not replied to their last PM yet but i think i will be removing the TNX code and cashing out the small amount i have made since installing.

All in all another real disappointment as I think it should have been a really, really good idea but it's managed by kids or people who respond to questions like kids anyway.

    • I didn't have a PR loss due to TNX — they started dinging me before I ever even started testing it. The pages they dropped to 0 didn't even have paid links on them.

I think TNX is based in Russia or some place like that, where English is a second language.

ah my mistake i thought from your comments above that the PR had dropped due to your use of TNX

yes they are russian but they do have several english speaking support people who are the ones i have been having a problem with

Our company have been using TNX for over a month now to advertise some products, and you know what, we got to the TOP-5 in Google by all keywords we were promoting via TNX.

I personally have my forum added to TNX which makes me over $2000 a month from selling just two links on each page of over 200K pages.

Looks like you guys got crappy websites and complain too much, that is why you haven't been able to squeeze even few drops of juice from this amazing link ads network.

    Cheers,

  5. Never, NEVER trust a site, which does not have some sort of contact. TNX does even have an email address, where you could ask some questions, regarding what and how they are doing it.

If is to good to be true, than it's a scam.

If there is a doubt… than there is no doubt…(but real trouble)

Google is now devaluing sites with TNX links. One of my sites using TNX lost all it keywords ranking from Google 2 weeks ago. The reason Danielle make a lot of money because TNX was still new and Google wasn't able to detect TNX back then. Don't use TNX, you will lose all your Google traffic.

This site can detect paid links: http://www.wmtips.com/tools/paid-links-detector/.

If that site is capable of detecting TNX link, Google can too. TNX scam people into thinking they can hide from Google. Don't look for shortcuts, you will waste time keep looking. Focus on building quality contents and solid link buildings such as directories, blogs commenting, forum postings, social book marketing and make sure to links build on every page and not just the main page.

A human cannot detect a paid link and you post that bull crap link that claims to detect the paid link?? Man that sucks.. Cut the crap..

This tool does nothing , Nothing at all.. You cannot differentiate a paid and natural link using a tool..

Get your facts right first off.. thats some kinda promotion trick for that tool..

TNX.net is an excellent program. Another similar program worth considering is Etology. I've been using this service for a few months now and so far I'm quite happy with the results. I haven't had a chance to advertise with this system yet, but as a publisher I love the freedom to sell ad space based on my own prices. Check out this review that I wrote a few weeks ago and let me know what you think.

I like tnx but I am actually using another free service called http://www.positionpusher.com which displays your link on other people's websites as long as you keep showing other people's link on your site.

If someone is interested to join tnx.net, I have valid and working invitation codes, check out my site http://tjantunen.com/2008/10/09/tnxnet-invitation-code/

Honestly it is unfortunate that you have had bad experiences with them because from my dealings with them they have proven to be the leaders in the backlink industry currently. I would far prefer TNX over TLA, backlinks.com, etc.

  13. Cobra says:

Google will kill you all! TNX.net is not an advertising network simply because no one clicks on the link you buy or sell. The real reason you buy or sell is to manipulate Google's ranking on certain keywords.

  14. Bob says:

Cobra is right. You guys are idiots, completely missed the point. You don't know how to use the system. tnx IS the answer…
