Let's Try BloggingZoom Instead Of Digg, Shall We?

According to the about page, BloggingZoom is for blogs only. According to a note I read somewhere else (but I don't remember where), you can submit your own blog posts and won't be penalized for it.

While BloggingZoom has come up with a WordPress plugin so you can add a button to your blog, I prefer to use a standard link like the others that I'm using. The link is identical to the link for Digg, except that the domain name is different:

I say we should give this service a try. It looks promising.

   People want to get on digg because it delivers 10-20K hits over the lifetime of a story. How many will BZ deliver?

   We already have a service full of crappy blog posts, it's called propeller.

      Digg didn't start out delivering high traffic, it just became popular. BZ may end up doing the same thing, kind of like what SU did.

      Propeller (formerly Netscape) is not very user-friendly and won't take off for that reason, plus it isn't geared specifically for blogs.

      BZ is geared for blogs and creating legitimate backlinks. That should make it more popular with bloggers. Of course, only time will tell.

      Digg did not have 200 pages indexed or 200 unique hits till after 30 days. Blogging Zoom today it's fourth day has 2,690 pages indexed and yesterday we had 2034 Unique and 13011 Page Views.

      Try to have your own content submitted to Propeller as soon as you are noticed you and your URL will get banned as it has happened to hundreds of people.

   BloggingZoom seems like a more solidly-built site than many of the others like it.

   The much-lauded BlogRush has generated almost NO traffic for my blogs despite how heavily I click thru on the widget to help support others.

   Anything to help net us lower-end bloggers a little extra exposure seems like a worthwhile thing. Certainly can't hurt to give it a whirl!

      Rob we are working hard to get traffic to you guys right now the #1 situation we find is not good teaser post so it makes it hard for us to get organic traffic to does submissions but we are planning a post that explains the best way to write a submission.

      We are here to help pls if you ever find that the system is not benefiting you contact us we will look at your submissions to see how to improve.

   I joined Blogging Zoom hoping it would do some good, but I call it pure and applied CRAP !

   I tried submitting a few posts from techXtreme by filling out every detail. By completing the description to a full 350 characters in 4 sentences or more, but all I see on hitting the submit button [Step 3] is Incomplete Title or Description.

   Its a new site, and as an index it should rise, I believe but I think they need to be more liberal. I haven't had a reply to a 'Report Bug or Error' email I sent to them, yet. 350 characters thing is OK but atleast 4 sentences literally SUCKS!

   What if someone can describe a post nicely in 1-2 sentences completing 350 characters or What if the description can't just be over than 2 sentences as for straight DIY's in any way?

   They need to understand.

      Abhinav Sood there is no bug and we have explain more than once if you received the "yet. 350 characters thing" you did not have 350 character as simple as that. I recommend you use a character counter.

      We are not Digg we do not accept one sentenced submissions on a video picking your nose.

         Ok, I will use the character count from MS-Word also. By the way, the counter below the description and your summary said 0 characters left. Can you clear what address I have to fill in the TrackBack URL column ? Is it OK to leave it empty

         And yes, I wasn't leaving you anyway , done with the dinner! I am just going to submit the tastiest posts on my blog again!
