When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Go Shopping
My day started out with the typical routine of watching my DSL connection flake out beginning at about 11:30 am. My mother-in-law popped in about noon to let me know that the bank will be closed for the next two days, starting tomorrow, as part of the annual celebration of the "Day of the Dead". They don't celebrate Halloween here.
Great! That means I can't go to the bank tomorrow and withdraw my monthly pension. I won't be able to do it until Monday. In the meantime, I need some food in the house. I have enough to last until Saturday but not until Monday. It looks like I have to dip into my son's tuition savings to get groceries. So… I'm headed to do grocery shopping this afternoon.
Hopefully, by the time I return, my DSL connection will be stable again. Fat chance of that happening.

I wish I can ome up with witty title like that! Hopefully you got your DSL connection back!
It came back several hours AFTER I got back home, so I took a long nap while waiting.
I usually go with the first title I think up. Doesn't everyone?
"I usually go with the first title I think up. Doesn't everyone?"
You know that I do! There's no way that my titles can look planned.
Sorry you day isn't going well. You'll bend it around to where you like it. I just know that nothing can keep you down. :)
I always second-guess my blog titles and used to go back and change them. Repeatedly. Then I'd think they suck, too, so I've opted to stick with the original, regardless of the consequences. I could spend that time napping.
Heh. That's a good plan, Doug. I've found that philosophy also seems to work with Pool or Billiards, when you're about to take a shot.
