Link Frenzy: BlogRush Related Articles
After spotting Pearl's article on BlogRush removing her blog from their system in her article which asks "How would you use the empty space with blogrush gone?", I decided to find out how many people were writing either positive and negative things about the service (excluding my own). All of these links are only a sampling of what's being written about BlogRush.
Positive (or Neutral?):
Negative:
- “The Tampon Blog” MEETS Blogrush Quality Standards?!
- 10,000 Pissed Off BlogRush Users
- Gurus Getting Bashed by the Little Guy – Another BlogRush Post – Don’t Puke
- John Reese and BlogRush Launch Huge Publicity Campaign
- An updated on being Rejected (updated LOL)
- BlogRush amoebas ban high quality blogs in favor of crap
I had to stop. I couldn't find anything positive that was written in the last week. I wanted to balance the articles, positive versus negative, but it wasn't happening. I feel sorry for John Reese and BlogRush. Most bloggers are now looking at BlogRush and doing this:

and you know what? I kept feeling sort of an outcast that week, with just about Everyone posting about blogrush, but me… I even stumbled some of those posts
Oh well!!
thanks so much for the mention RT…
Ha ha ha! Well, not sure about others but I've been laughing at blogrush from the day 1. Anyway, I'm not sure if they'll do any good to themselves after this step…but yes, atleast the craze of blogrush will just go away….and that's what I'm happy about.

I'm going to give BlogRush a little longer and then pull it if I don't start seeing links that are actually related to the content on my site.
I was using adgridwork until porn links started popping up, the fact that my girlfriend was the one who pointed them out to me pretty much sealed the deal to delete their script from my sidebar forever.
All of the social blog circles sound cool, but after using them for a while I get the feeling that these sites are primarily dominated by folks who are into internet marketing (which makes sense and is fine), but so far it's been far more effective (and enjoyable) to just focus on writing good content, and attracting real readers, not just viral linking invites and Techna-Alexa schemes.

I don't know what's going on with BlogRush. I jumped on the bandwagon, it seemed to do some good, then they shut down for upgrades, which go on and on and on … And their temp stats are never even close to being right, and day to day they don't add up. I don't know if it hurts to keep it up, but for now, I removed them from my site, even tho I was "approved." I found this Criteo thing I hadn't heard about until today, that I'm going to install instead. Similar, I think, but seems to have been around for awhile to some good reviews.
Criteo! That's the one I couldn't remember! I had it on my blog, lost a bunch of pages (don't ask) and couldn't remember which site it was. I may be replacing BlogRush with it very soon (within a week I'd say).
I don't know about BlogRush either. I listen to people like you. Have a great day.
