Upgrade to WordPress Version 2.3 Complete!

I don't know what all the hullabaloo was about, but I just finished upgrading this blog, Untwisted Vortex, and my other blog. Both are now running the latest stable version (2.3) of WordPress. I think there was like 5 minutes where the blogs were inaccessible.

I took the opportunity to also upgrade all of my plugins. I only had to manually edit one. Piece of cake — the instructions were on the website for the plugin, in the comments.

Now, about this tagging thing. I haven't used it up till now and I don't plan to do so anytime soon. It's supposed to be good for SEO purposes but I don't buy it. Other than that, this was a ho-hum upgrade in my opinion, almost not worth doing at all.

This release was what drove me to b2evolution!
If you want the import tool, just let me know. I'll probably publish it publicly in any case.
b2evolution 2.0 rocks (in my opinion). It's a software that needs more publicity! Currently 2.0 is in alpha and I'm sure Francois will really appreciate more people testing it out.

  I think I'll set it up on my sandbox in the next couple of days. I'm tired of the frequent WP upgrades with nothing really good to add. I may or may not switch when 2.4 or 3.0 (whichever they choose) comes out. It all depends on how well I like it.

Hmm, I just managed to upgrade to 2.2.3 a couple of weeks ago after sitting at 2.0.x forever. I've been sitting back taking in opinions of those who have made the jump to 2.3 before I jump.

I had a few problems, many users have had many. There was a problem with my plug-ins causing database errors. Not all the themes are compatible. Had I known that before I would not have upgraded. There was an anxious hour of error messages. Luckily, it all worked out in the end.

  I checked all the plugins before I even started the upgrade. I knew there would be problems otherwise.
