This is the rock song, "Save Me by Remy Zero". It was used as the theme song for Smallville. I hadn't heard the entire song, only what was clipped for the show, until after I got ahold of the Smallville: The Talon Mix album. I like the full version better.

I noticed that Remy Zero appeared in at least one episode of Smallville in the first season of the series.
