I don't know the cause, but the keypad stopped working completely. I've never used any cleaners or any kind of spray on the microwave oven. The only thing I have ever done is to wipe out the interior due to exploded food (beans etc.).

The amusing part of all of this is that my son, Jonathan, was trying to heat up some leftovers using the microwave oven. He couldn't get the keypad to work so he couldn't heat up the leftovers. Or so he thought. Jon has never had to live in a home where a microwave oven wasn't readily available. I had to tell him to do it the old fashioned way — put it in a pot and reheat it on the electric range. This is one of the problems with technology. The younger generations can't readily comprehend how to do things any other way.

I don't know how to fix the microwave keypad and there isn't a service center anywhere local to us. I'll either have to take a risk at getting electrocuted by a charged capacitor or let it become a kitchen ornament until it's replaced. It wasn't very expensive to begin with. Perhaps one of you can provide me another solution. I'm all eyes and I appreciate all the help I can get.
