Wow! Pictures! I'm just kidding. This is just the tip of the iceberg at My Several Worlds. Carrie invited me to review her blog and I've been reading and looking for some time now.
Carrie teaches ESL English at various locations in the area of the world we know as Asia. I believe she lives in Taiwan though. I'm not going back to reread either of the "about" pages to verify that. The problem with acronyms is knowing what they mean. I think ESL stands for English as a second language, but I could be wrong. I didn't see it spelled out anywhere. She mentions her other half but doesn't mention marital status. I'll assume they're married.
She's using the WordPress MistyLook theme, which looks pretty good. Hmm… I found her email address as a link on one of the about pages. It's not where I would prefer to find it, but that's a personal preference. There's a lot of pictures (did I already say that?) as well as a lot of information about the places she's been. I feel like I just got bombarded with information overload.
I had to look it up because a lot of people misspell it, but Carrie wrote an interesting article on expatriates, titled "Ex-pats Behaving Badly". She cheated and didn't spell it out (I would have done the same thing if I didn't know how to spell it). I see expatriates behaving badly in the Philippines on occasion as well. Despite how it reads, expatriate does not always mean "ex patriot". I am an expatriate — a person who has withdrawn himself from residence in his native country.
There's enough at Carrie's blog to keep me busy reading for hours and it's now in my feedreader.
(Update 2008-04-18: Blog URL changed, moved from wordpress.com to self-hosted.)
