I am not doing a review. I charge to do reviews for websites other than blogs. These are merely my thoughts about Word Hugger, a new web startup by Collin LaHay, a 17-year old entrepreneur.

From the Word Hugger FAQ:

The Word Hugger is a website that allows people and/or companies to invest in words that revolve around their specific hobbies, products, interests, business, or expertise in that field. Each word will get a separate page on WordHugger.com. On this website, the user now has the option to display recent topics, keep updated information, sell a related product (affiliate marketing), send visitors to their existing website, or make money with different advertising companies such as Adsense or AuctionAds.

The website was launched on September 15, 2007. It has already sold 47 words (or word phrases). Each word has a separate page, owned by the owner of the word. The cost for a word is $60.00 for a period of 10 years.

What do I think? This is an investment, much like other small investments. While this kind of investment really isn't within my realm of expertise, I smell a good investment. I've made small investments for things like this in the past and most of them paid off. Unfortunately, I'm not in an investment position at present or I'd be investing in a few words of my own.

If you're even mildly interested, visit the website and take a look around. This may be something worth your time.
