Unlike what I mentioned in my article, Never give up. Never surrender., I don't use my drive-bys to fill a gap in my creativity. They're a key part of my creativity. If you enjoy nothing else today, please enjoy today's…
Andy Beard highlighted seven critical mistakes bloggers are making with "Blogrush - 7 Critical Mistakes". I happen to agree with every point he made. I recommend using BlogRush as well. I've been receiving incoming traffic from it on both of my blogs since the day I installed the widgets.
Corey Thompson gave yet another reason why he prefers Linux over Windows. I receive the same newsletter he does and was appalled by Microsoft's behavior. I've already been leaning to Linux as my next computer's OS and that just about cinches it.
Adian wrote about his case study of free traffic. An interesting read. The gist of the article points to the fact that you just need to keep trying. What works for others may not work for you, at least not in the same way.
I didn't know there were so many scammers in the oil industry, but as Daniel pointed out, there's a huge list of them. I glanced over his "Scams - Claiming to be directly from or recruiting for AGIP" article and I was amazed by the huge volume of scammers.
I'm taking a wild shot in the dark here, but I'm guessing that Mrs. Nesbitt is NOT from Ireland. Her latest article, ABC Wednesday!, almost had me fooled into believing she was with the line "I is for…… Ireland." That'll teach me to look further before making assumptions. She's actually from Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Being an ugly American, I of course don't know the difference between the United Kingdom, the British Isles, or any other terms used for that area of the world. Wouldn't Yorkshire, England make more sense? It must have something to do with history…
I love it when people learn what works in blogging, as Abhinav's article on the Role of Correct Grammar and Punctuation in Blogging pointed out. It also impresses me when they reference my own views on the same subject. Bravo!
I don't normally mention things like this, but I can resist this time. Jaya's question of "Can you do this?" in regards to a first joint bend (of any finger), with a very self-explanatory photo gets a simple answer from me. No!
You simply have to see the pictures of Weird Things that TaylorBlue put up. Words simply can't describe them.
Do you like poetry? How about inspirational poetry? Well, that's what May provided in "If Tomorrow Never Comes- Inspirational Poem by Norma Marek". I like to be inspired.
One of my drive-bys was supposed to be russellwagner.com but it's brought up a 404 page for the past two days. Don't you find it annoying when you visit a blog, or any other kind of website, which you were at just last week and find out it isn't there any more? If Russell brings it back, I'll stop by again, otherwise…
JPR (I don't know his name) released another version of YATCP (Yet Another Threaded Comments Plugin) back in July but I'm still using an earlier version on this blog. It took me a lot of effort to make it work with my theme and I don't fancy myself doing it again right now. I haven't installed old or new on my other blog yet. YATCP doesn't use Ajax, so other comment plugins that do should work with it.
Justin over at "The Sanctuary" informed us that he's high steppin' as the new political commentator of his wife's blog, Rainy Day Dreams. If you head over to his blog, not hers, please be aware of collateral sexual imagery and colorful metaphors. You have been warned.
