Despite our best efforts and unless blogging is our sole means of income, the real world has a tendency to make incursions into our online lives.

I spent the last 24+ hours doing everything but online reading and writing. I answered a couple of email messages, and copied and redirected several posts from this blog to my other blog, but that's about it.

Two of my brothers-in-law have a lawsuit hearing to attend to this Friday, the 21st, for a case that has been ongoing since 2001. I get to pay the attorney fee and the NBI (the Filipino version of the FBI) escort fee. The guilty party sued them before the guilty party was arraigned for the murder of two of my other brothers-in-law and the attempted murder of one my brothers-in-law. The other brother-in-law wasn't even involved in the incident, but they sued him as well. I expect the lawsuit to eventually be thrown out, but why does it take so long? Whoever said justice was swift never lived in the Philippines.

I also found out that I need to head to San Fernando, in the Pampanga province, to pick up a camcorder that one of my brothers-in-law turned in for repair last year. I think I remember where the shop is, but I'll have to take him along to be sure. We'll be doing that on a Saturday (I hope) after the beginning of next month. I want to take my son along for the ride. I plan to combine the trip there with a visit to the SM mall in San Fernando so I can check out some of the computers there. My budget doesn't allow me to buy a new computer right now, but it doesn't hurt to look and see what's available.

For me, blogging is like a career since I'm otherwise retired. Like any other job, however, personal requirements sometimes take priority.
