It's appropriate that I mentioned in my previous article that I'm going to be using some of my PPP (PayPerPost) earnings to buy a new computer, because I plan to do exactly that as soon there's enough money built up. It could take six months or it could take a year, but it doesn't matter that much now.
The fan for my laptop PC magically started working again. It's spinning right now. I think it's tied in with an electrical problem stemming from our power company. I'm no electrician, but my DSL flakes out from about 2 pm to 10 pm every day. I also notice that my electric fan (the one I have blowing both on me and the laptop) tends to slow down and speed up frequently during those hours. We have "dirty" power to begin with, with numerous spikes and sags all day long. I think they're pumping out the required voltage but not enough amperes to go with that voltage. I think our power grid is maxed out in capacity. It's no wonder; the population of the city has grown over 500 percent in twenty years and is still growing at a rapid rate.
My wife sent four cargo boxes to me through a service in Phoenix, Arizona. The shipping charge alone was $300 ($100 per box with the fourth one free). The boxes haven't arrived yet, but I'm anticipating receipt by the end of the month. There are other things I want her to send before she leaves to return to the Philippines and I don't know when she'll be returning. One of them is an Antec Notebook Cooler. I want to use this laptop until it dies of other things besides heat.
Yes, I try to publish at least one PPP sponsored post every day, with only one showing on the front page at a time. Sometimes, like right now, there are actually two on the front page — that is, until I publish this article. When the DSL gets flaky and doesn't connect, my routine doesn't go quite as planned. I'm involved with other sponsored post services, besides PPP, but their opportunities don't fit me most of the time. Even when they do, it seems that other bloggers snap them up before I spot them in my email — I don't get to read that email until it's too late because of my flaky DSL.
Well, I have to spell check, grammar check and read this over before publishing. My DSL will die within the next hour.
