Rocky's blog, www.boggingmix.com is a little unusual. I expected to see "Blogging Mix" as the title somewhere, but the only place I saw that was on the about page. I'm always hesitant to use part of a URL as a title in reference, but the title on his page and at the top of the browser are the same. [Note: I upgraded the title after I saw it changed on his blog.]

Rocky's a Filipino living and going to college in the UK, a major feat in itself considering the economy here in the Philippines. The fact that he has time to blog in addition to his studies toward a master's degree in business is a tribute to his ambition.

I didn't expect what I saw on this blog. In fact, I had no idea it was a Blogger blog until I looked at the credits in the footer. Unfortunately, I had to highlight the footer in order to read the text. The dark gray on dark blue isn't easy to read at all. This is a really nice looking theme and I would venture to guess that Rocky did it himself. There's a problem with the search box though, in the upper right corner. First, the input box is invisible in both Firefox and Internet Explorer and second, "Buscar" means search in Tagalog. Since his blog is written in English, I think he should use "Search" instead. Most English speakers wouldn't know what Buscar means.

When I first looked at Rocky's blog, I thought for sure that it was older than three months. I was shocked that it wasn't. He's put a lot of time and effort into making it look good on a system where it's usually very difficult to do. If I had chosen to leave a comment, the fact that it's a Blogger blog would have been easily confirmed. Their commenting system is horrible and it doesn't give "Google juice" to anyone but Blogger.

Regardless of the faults, Rocky's doing a great job so far and I hope he can keep it up.
