Blog Review: Anime Fans Online

Are you into anime or manga? If you are, you need to take a look at Anime Fans Online. While Jason (aka 2xKnight) is not very prolific over on FanaticSpace, his other blog that I recently reviewed, his writing really shines on this blog.

I'm not into anime, but I can't hold that against Jason. My son is knee deep into almost any anime at any given time, especially Naruto. Judging by his articles and his liberal use of imagery, you can tell that Jason is a fan of anime and quite passionate about it.

The theme looks really nice. I can tell that Jason put a lot of effort into making sure everything fits on this blog. I didn't spot any image spillover even at the 800×600 resolution. Everything is there: The contact page, the "about" page, the archives and the categories.

This blog is relatively new — I only see four months of archives. I checked out the comments on a few articles and he has quite a few readers already. Google hasn't given his blog a page rank yet, but I predict it'll start as a 3. I have a suggestion, Jason. Your blog isn't indexed on Technorati. You should get over there and claim your blog. It'll get you more readers in the long run, if nothing else. I get quite a few visits via Technorati every single day.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm having trouble with Technorati. I claimed AnimeFansOnline when it started, recently it's disappeared. From what I've heard this has happened to a handful of blogs, not just AFO.

While I do agree that the theme is nice, I can't really take any credit for that. AFO is a part of 451 press. They take care of things like that.

    Thanks for the review.
