(This is a guest author article.)
That's right. After considering all aspects of the issue, I thought I would (tentatively) join the blog review bandwagon at Untwisted Vortex rather than start the same on my own blog. So if anybody wants a blog review from me, please say so and it'll be published right here at UV.
I will take my own time to do blog reviews, and unlike RT who's really nice (in spite of his frightening disclaimers
) I might be a lot more critical and nitpicky. However, I will not take it to a personal level and I will do my best to remain balanced and positive.
So if you want reviews from me, just ask. I will appreciate requests from people who fulfill these conditions, although I won't go by these criteria very strictly:
- Blog is at least one month old and has 10 reasonably well written articles. I don't count one-liners and links as articles on their own.
- Content is original.
- Fairly up-to-date. I probably won't review blogs which haven't seen an update in more than 45 days.
- Theme is customized and modified. Stock themed blogs don't really catch my attention or imagination.
- It is a non-professional, non-commercial, non-community blog written mainly by one person (I don't count blogs with occasional guest posts as community blogs).
I make these conditions to ensure that my review quality is decent and that I can be constructive and helpful without being too generic or too negative in tone.
Reviews might take up to a week (or more) to appear because I don't write at RT's hectic pace. However, I will inform you of the review once it appears by e-mail. Review requests are accepted on comments to this post. Just keep in mind that this is an experiment and that I might end it at some point or the other.
I will now accept 5 review requests for the first batch of reviews (on a FIFO basis). I'll probably do this on a batch-by-batch basis rather than on a continuous basis…
