Blog Review: Pro Blog Design
Michael's blog, Pro Blog Design, is a professional design blog for… blogs, of course. The title is 100 percent descriptive, unlike the titles for the rest of us.
You can tell at first glance that it's a custom theme that Michael did himself. Almost everything is there that needs to be there: The "about" page, the "contact" page and even the "home" link. Where are the archives, Michael? I can't believe your article, Weekly Wrap-up: War on Clutter, is the first one. I went to the bottom of that page to see if there was a "previous" link and there wasn't. I went back to the index page and there wasn't a "previous" link there either.
I'm completely confused. How could your Alexa rank drop to 499,744 (with a rank yesterday of 29,265) and your Technorati rank drop to 100,499 within a month? There has to be something I'm missing.
I'm not saying Michael's articles are bad. On the contrary, they're very good. More than just good, I've already learned a few things from only the few articles that are given as choices in the "Latest Articles" column in the sidebar. This is a great blog overall. I'm just a wee bit flabbergasted, that's all.

Hey! Thanks for the review, I'm glad you found some of the articles to be useful. :D
The "Weekly Wrap-up" post you linked to was indeed the first weekly wrap-up. The blog is still young (First post was on August 5th, so we're 17 days old at the minute). I didn't do a wrap-up for the first week, that's all. :)
You can load most of the articles so far from the homepage, but you're right about the "Previous" links. I forgot to add those in to the home page. Thanks for the reminder!
Did that help with the confusion at all? xD
Absolutely not. What did you do to get so popular so quick?
A lot of work.
I spent almost a month sorting out the right design, logo and name. I found the niche I knew I could write articles on, and I started writing.
I'd researched blogging for months before hand, and I already knew Wordpress inside out. I knew what I was doing, and I did it.
The blogosphere did the rest of it for me. There are some really nice people around. When they saw an article they liked, they linked to me, they commented, they emailed me etc. and I appreciate them to no end! :D
Any better?
PS – I've added the "Previous" links now. ;)
I guess it's better.
lol – Good.
