I don't know what to call this guy. Is it "Hustler" or is it "cooliojones"? I think I'll stick with the latter. Anyway, My New Hustle | Make Money Online is different, I'll give you that.

There are some things I like about the stock themes you can find for blogs and there are some things I don't. I don't like the words on the background because I find it distracting. If I find it distracting, other people will too. As I was looking at the gel buttons, I thought about the software that I have sitting in my closet that makes them just like that. Headers too. I think cooliojones added those himself because they don't quite match the other glossy images on the page. Well, at least they're vector images and won't have much, if any, effect on page download speed.

There is a minor problem that needs to be fixed. The hyperlink next to the FeedBurner chicklet is blue on blue, except when you hover over it. I almost didn't see it there. Other than the words on the background, which are not part of the stock theme, I didn't see anything else I didn't like.

There's a wealth of interesting information on this blog. I like his article, Hustle Tips: Waste Time With Web Contests. As long as you know what you're getting yourself into before you enter a contest, I see no problem with it. Some, however, have obscure rules and obscure prizes to go with them. Never let one of these detract from your primary blogging mission, whether it's just to write or to make money while writing.

It's a fairly new blog, started in May, but there's enough material already in place to keep the average reader busy for a while. I've added it to my feed reader and so should you.
