It's extremely hard to be objective when the first article viewable on the blog right now is titled "I Cannot Support the War or the Troops". After all, I'm a retired U.S. Marine. Nevertheless, I have to put personal issues aside in order to be as objective as possible.
Human Psyche is very well written. I've read a couple of articles from each month, starting with the first in May of this year. Yes, the blog is that new. The theme is very nice although I've seen it before (I just don't remember where). I didn't see any advertising anywhere on the blog, which is good since the first few months should be focused on content.
GEM's "about" page is prominently displayed at the top, yet his email address is an old anti-spam trick in his right sidebar. It's not a link. A contact form on a contact page can do the same thing — defeat spam. Leaving it the way it is communicates the idea that he doesn't want you to email him unless it's really important.
Some of the content on this blog is controversial. It's a personal blog, so that's okay. It would be easy to give him a bad review, given my own stance on some of the issues, but I can't. His opinions are entirely owned by him and that's what writing a personal blog is all about.
