I'm sure you've seen them. Those mailboxes sitting in front of really nice houses that look like they were bought at department stores at a huge discount. Some of them have those horrible stick-on numbers and some of them even look like the numbers were painted on by worn out paint brushes.

This is where a place like mailboxixchange, which specializes in mailboxes and curbside decor, can make a huge difference. If you have a beautiful home or a beautiful neighborhood, shouldn't your mailboxes be just as beautiful? They have exactly what you need!

Can you imagine walking along a neighborhood sidewalk and passing mailboxes that look like they match the garbage cans that are placed on the curb when they're ready to be picked up? I can because I've seen them! I've seen them in some really nice neighborhoods, all lined up in a row. If those residential mailboxes looked as good as the houses they sat in front of, I would have been impressed.

What about neighborhoods that share commercial mailboxes, like the neighborhood I moved away from last year? I used to hate walking out to the cheap, rusty mailboxes I had to share with my neighbors. They were unsightly and they detracted from the appearance of the neighborhood. I always had to fiddle with the lock to make my key turn and these mailbox sets were all over the neighborhood. Unsightly is actually a mild term for those monstrosities, in my opinion.

Perhaps, if you're planning to live in the same house forever, the appearance of your own mailbox or the mailboxes in your neighborhood doesn't matter to you. What would you think about it when you finally do decide to sell your house? Would it matter to you then? I would hate to have a crappy mailbox be considered when trying to sell my house!
